Horizontal Forehead Lines
Horizontal forehead lines are seen when you raise your eyebrows and cause horizontal creasing across the entire forehead. Depending on the size of the forehead and the severity of the creasing this procedure typically takes between ~12-22 units of Toxin.
It is important to prevent these wrinkles from becoming deeper as they will form groups that are irreversible as we age. Small amounts of Toxin are injected into the frontalis muscles on either side of your forehead extending vertically from your eyebrow to the tip of your hairline. Paralyzing this muscle also helps with some tension headaches in this area.
"11 Lines" (orocerus muscle treatment
“11 lines” are the deep bilateral lines between your eyes that are displayed when frowning or squeezing the eyebrows together. This is typically treated with approximately 10 to 20 units depending on severity and depth of lines.
Eyebrow Arching
Only about 2-4 units are needed on either arch to lift the eyebrow and eyelid giving a youthful appearance. If done incorrectly this can cause eyelid ptosis which is where the eyelid droops further over the eye.
Crows Feet (ocular muscles)*
These lines are created when you smile and give an aged appearance to the eyes. Approximately 6-10 units of Toxin injected on the outside and just below the eye to eliminate this.
Bunny Lines (nasalis muscle)
These wrinkles are created when you scrunch up your nose and are quickly paralyzed with 8 units or so of Toxin injected bilaterally near the bridge of the nose.
Gummy Smile
This is treated with approximately 2-5 units of Toxin on either side of the cheeks specifically place to reduce the appearance of excessive gums showing when somebody smiles.
Lip Flip
This is an extremely popular procedure where approximately 8-10 units of Toxin is injected in three spots just above the upper lip on both sides to expose more of the top lip and give a fuller appearance without receiving lip filler. It also helps to illuminate upper lip lines caused by smoking and straws.
Frown Lines
The appearance of frown lines are lessened by applying 2-4 units into both sides of the depressor Anguli Oris muscles that pull the lips down at the corner giving a frowning appearance. This simple procedure gives a very pleasant resting lip position.
Orange Peel Chin
The appearance of a smooth chin is achieved by injecting 6-10 units of Toxin into the mentalis along the chin to illuminate the appearance of dimpling.
Masseter Muscle
Injecting approximately 25-35 units in each masseter muscle gives the appearance of a softer jawline for square jaws as well as a therapeutic treatment for people with TMJ and teeth grinding habits. It is also advised to treat the temporalis during this treatment fr more comprehensive results.
Platysmal Bands (Nefertiti’s Neck Lift)
Platysma bands are the vertical cords that appear in the neck as one of the first signs of aging.
These creases develop due to reduced skin elasticity in the neck combined with a weakening of the platysma muscle, causing the superficial layer of musculature to protrude through the skin. Genetics also play a role in the formation of platysmal neck bands and some patients may develop them sooner than others.
It is typically treated with 15-20 units per band. This treatment is also referred Nefertiti’s Neck Lift.
Armpit
Toxin is considered safe and effective for the treatment of hyperhidrosis. Toxin works by blocking the signals that stimulate sweat glands, which reduces the amount of sweating in the treated area.
This treatment requires 30-50 units of Toxin per side.
Aesthetic Injections to help with Migraines
This treatment consists of several injections of toxin varying from 100-200 units dispersed throughout muscles in the skull, shoulder and face. Some patients opt to try Aesthetic Migraine treatment for immediate relief.
Calf Slimming
Calf slimming with Toxin injections are used to gradually reduce the size of the gastrocnemius (a.k.a. calf muscle) over time by inhibiting communication between nerve cells and muscle cells.
By reducing the prominence of the gastrocnemius muscle, the contour and definition of the lower leg is softened and smoothed. Treatment consists of 25-50 units of Toxin per side.
